About Luna Estate And Martinborough

Luna Estate has two distinctive vineyard sites in Martinborough. Blue Rock lies south of the town on an elevated hillside, while Eclipse sits on the ancient river terrace along Puruatanga Road. Together, these sites provide fruit with perfume, depth, freshness and savoury complexity.

Planting at Blue Rock began in 1986, while the Eclipse Vineyard was established from 1992. Martinborough has since earned an international reputation for Pinot Noir, with its cool conditions and free draining soils producing wines known for fragrance, fine tannins and earthy regional character.

Cellaring Potential

Delicious now for its rich cherry fruit, smooth texture and savoury detail. It may also be cellared for five years or longer, developing greater earthy complexity and spice while retaining its freshness and balance.
