Tap X Cuvée Barrique is a bold, barrel‑aged specialty beer from Schneider Weisse crafted by blending their signature TAP 6 Unser Aventinus with Aventinus Eisbock, after maturing separately in oak wine barrels (often Pinot Noir) for several months. The result is an unforgettable, pleasantly sour wheat beer with complex vinous depth.

Tasting Notes

Pouring a clear medium‑dark brown with red highlights and a modest tan head, Tap X delivers layered aromas of tart red berries, oak spices, toffee and dark chocolate. On the palate it's sharply tart yet balanced, with sour cherry and plum fruit, warming alcohol, nutty vanilla and smoky oak, finishing dry and vinous with tannic depth and subtle spice. The mouthfeel is medium‑thick, soft carbonation lifting the rich, vinous texture.
