Woodford Reserve Distillers Reserve Kentucky Straight Malt Whisky 700ml

Soft nutty notes drizzled with light caramel and milk chocolate coat a layer of fruit character (apple, dried fruit, tropical fruit). The Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey has hints of brown spice, savoury mint and brown sugar mingle with a rich note of freshly milled toasted oak. On the palate it has dark chocolate and caramel coated nuts with a dusting of cocoa powder and brown spice. A fruit medley brightens a trace of toasted coconut and rich, bright oak character. Finished off beautifully with nutty and delicate sweet chocolate malt notes.

One of Kentucky’s oldest and smallest distilleries, Woodford Reserve Distillery is built on history, sitting on Kentucky’s oldest distilling site where Elijah Pepper began crafting whiskey in 1812. It was on these same holy grounds that years later Master Distiller James Christopher Crow perfected his whiskey-making methods, Unlike a typical 100% malt whiskey, Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey is a Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey crafted from 51% malt and aged in new charred oak barrels, making it the malt whiskey for bourbon drinkers. The base of 51 % malt results in a whiskey that is complex and rich in flavour which amplifies the nutty characteristics found in the original Woodford Reserve.
