Ocean Eight on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula has entrenched itself in the top echelon of Australian Pinot Gris makers with a string a brilliant recent releases. The 2017 Ocean Eight Pinot Noir is another classy example; beautifully aromatic with plenty of delicate citrus and floral perfume on the nose. The texture is the key to this wine, which provides a nice contrast to the delicate aromas on the nose. It finishes dry and lingers with plenty of crisp acid.
