Produces earthy wines that can take on a Burgundian character of silky texture after five years aging and are know for there deep colour and stone fruit characters. These wines are generally the deepest colour with aromas of apricots and peaches. Within the centre of Morgon, there is a particular hillside, the Cote du Py, that produces the most powerful examples of Morgon wines.
