Dave Fletcher's infatuation with the Nebbiolo grape stretches back to 2004, when he had his mind blown sitting in a masterclass tasting great examples from the grape's spiritual home, Piedmonte.
He has since moved his whole family to Barbaresco to persue his dream of making world-class Nebbiolo wines from the fabled slopes of Barolo, Barbaresco and surrounds. His Italian wines are gaining notoriety and his reputation amongst the locals for producing fine traditional examples of the grape grows each year. For The Minion, Dave makes the pilgrimage back to Australia each to make an Aussie example. He takes all he's learnt during his time in Italy and turns that experience on the best fruit he can find in Victoria.The resulting wine is dark, savoury and structural.
