The Côtier Gris hails from Garagiste's Merricks Grove vineyard; vines planted in red volcanic and brown loam soil. The winemaking is similar for all the Côtier wines: 100% whole bunch fermentation for two weeks; maturation in old oak for 10-11 months; bottled unfined and with only minimal sulphur. It's easy to see what's got the grower so excited; stunning Amaro-scented perfume, a seamless, pillowy texture and a juicy length. It's Pinot Gris but not as we know it. Get on board!
