Bernard Schurr Cotes du Rhone Villages

Bernard Schurr has  longstanding relationships with many sustainable grape growers across the Rhone. Using these partnerships with like-minded growers, he produces small parcels of excellent value wines that show the best assets of the region. The fruit for this wine is all organically farmed and hand harvested, fermented as small, individual parcels, then matured in old large format oak for nine months. As a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Shiraz, it's ripe, lush and so very easy to drink. It shows ripe red berries, a hint of chocolate, and a smooth, easy finish which is highly satisfying.
